Sous Vide Recipe Series
Description:
This kid approved pork tenderloin comes out perfect every time thanks to use of Sous Vide cooking. Finishing on the grill makes this a tasty, easy to prepare meal.
Ingredients:
- 1 Pork Tenderloin: roughly 1 lb., silver skin removed
- 1 T. Olive Oil
- 2 Garlic Cloves: finely grated on a micro plane or finely minced
- Seasoning Salt and Pepper to taste (I preferĀ Johnny’s Seasoning Salt)
- Small bunch of Thyme
- Small handful of Sage
Special Equipment:
- Sous Vide Machine (I use theĀ Sous Vide Supreme) or a Water Circulator and Large Pot
- Vacuum Sealer
Directions:
- Preheat sous vide machine or water circulator to 140 degrees Fahrenheit
- Trim silver skin from tenderloin
- rub tenderloin with a light coating of olive oil
- Micro Plane garlic and rub on tenderloin
- Season tenderloin to taste with seasoning salt and pepper
- Add seasoned tenderloin, thyme and sage to a food saver bag and vacuum seal contents
- Place vacuum sealed tenderloin in sous vide machine or water circulator
- Cook sous vide at 140 degrees Fahrenheit for 1 hour
- Preheat grill on high heat
- Remove tenderloin from vacuum sealed bag, pat dry, and let rest for 10 minutes
- Grill tenderloin on high heat just long enough to sear, about 1 minute per side
- Slice tenderloin serve immediately.
